Bridgeport Borough's tax collector, elected by the citizens of Bridgeport, is responsible for billing and collecting the residential and commercial real estate taxes for the borough, the county and the school district.

Taxation Rates
- Property/Real Estate Tax: 13.23 mills, or 1.323%
- Earned Income Tax: 1.0%
- Local Services Tax: $52 annually (those who earn less than $12,000 annually are exempt)
- Real Estate Transfer Tax: 1.0% (shared 50/50 with Montgomery County)

How to Pay:
- Payment is by mail or in person with Money Orders/Certified Checks, personal/business checks, or credit card (coming soon with 3% convenience fee).
- If your taxes are escrowed, forward your bills to the mortgage company.
- Include your bill and contact information (phone number and/or email address) when making payment.
- No receipt unless stamped, self addressed envelope enclosed. Please remit entire bill.
- If property has been transferred, notify tax office.
- Taxes paid after December 1 must be made by Cashier's Check or Money Order.
- Taxes not paid by Dec 31 will be reported to Tax Claim Bureau and subject to an additional 5% fee, pursuant to County and Municipality ordinances or resolutions.
- $35.00 fee for all checks returned by bank and/or other insufficient funds charges.

Earned Income Tax and Local Services Tax
Berkheimer Associates is the appointed 3rd-party collector for both earned income tax and local services tax in Bridgeport Borough. Any inquiries regarding these taxes should be directed to https://www.hab-inc.com/ or by phone at 610-588-0965.
Trash and Sewer Utility Accounts
Trash and Sewer Account Certifications:
Berkheimer Associates is the appointed 3rd party collector for sewer and utility billing in Bridgeport Borough. Requests for account certifications should be directed to https://www.hab-inc.com/ or by phone at 610-588-0965.
If the property being purchased or sold has been utilized as a rental property, then a dwelling license certification should also be requested from Berkheimer Associates.
Delinquent Trash and Sewer Billing Collections:
At the end of each calendar year, Berkheimer transfers all delinquent balances to the appointed 3rd party delinquent utility accounts collector, Portnoff Associates. Once a balance has been transferred to Portnoff Associates, account holders must directly contact Portnoff in order to attempt to resolve the matter. Portnoff can be contacted at www.portnoffonline.com or by phone at 866-211-9466.
