Legal Notice: Public Hearing, Ordinance 2026-005, Amending Chapter 560, Data Centers - July 21, 2026

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the Borough of Bridgeport Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. Borough Council will hold a public hearing on and consider the following ordinance:

ORDINANCE 2026-005

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF BRIDGEPORT MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AMENDING CHAPTER 560, ZONING, § 560-202 AND § 560-305 TO ADD DEFINITIONS AND USE CATEGORIES RELATED TO DATA CENTERS; AMENDING CHAPTER 560, ZONING, ARTICLE XIII TO AMEND PERMITTED USES AND USE REGULATIONS RELATING TO DATA CENTERS IN THE GENERAL INDUSTRIAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; AMENDING CHAPTER 560, ZONING, TO ADD A NEW SECTION ADDING SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, USE REGULATIONS, AND CONDITIONAL USE REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO DATA CENTERS

This Ordinance contains the following sections and is summarized as follows: Section I amends Chapter 560, Sections 560-202 of the Borough Code for the purposes of adding a definition of “Data Center” and “Sensitive Receptor”. Section II amends Chapter 560, Sections 560-305 of the Borough Code to add a new use under Industrial Uses, titled “Data Center Campus (DCC)”, and to add a new use under Accessory Uses, titled “Data Center Accessory Use”. Section III amends Chapter 560, Sections 560-1302 of the Borough Code to add two new uses under Subsection C, Uses permitted by conditional use. Section IV amends Chapter 560 of the Borough Code to add a new section, titled § 560-1913, Special Provisions for Data Center Campus Development, relating to the development standards, use regulations and conditional use requirements for data centers. Section V is entitled “Repealer”. Section VI is entitled “Severability.”
