WEATHER UPDATE FOR JANUARY 9 AND 10

WEATHER UPDATE FOR JANUARY 9 AND 10

The forecast remains the same for the region; somewhere between 2 to 3 inches of rain, depending on the severity and patterns of the storm. However, the NOAA report for the Schuylkill River at Norristown shows a maximum cresting height of 15 feet, somewhere in the afternoon on Wednesday January 10. This means that hopefully, and if the forecasting is accurate, Bridgeport should not anticipate any flooding conditions beyond areas near Falls View Drive and the Crow Creek. But please continue to monitor your local area if you live in a flood prone area, and be aware of the severe wind gusts that are being called for. Very strong and damaging south to southeast winds between 40-50 mph for inland areas. The strongest winds occur on Tuesday night. Gusty westerly and southwesterly winds continue on Wednesday. Please avoid travel if you are able to do so.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.
