ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE - 2023 BRIDGEPORT 5K, SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 2023

Attached please find a road closure notice issued by Mayor Jacksier in relation to the Bridgeport 5K, taking place on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Please be advised that the following road closures will be in effect on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from approximately 8:45AM to 11:00AM for the 2023 Bridgeport 5K Run/Walk:

1. Mill Street closed from West 6th Street to West 4th Street.
2. West 4th Street closed from DeKalb Street to Depot Street.
3. East 4th Street intermittent lane closures from Vine Street to Depot Street.
4. Ford Street intermittent lane closures from Depot Street to Fifth Street.
5. West 5th Street closed from Ford Street to Mill Street.
6. Bush Street closed at Oak Alley.
7. 9th Street closed from Bush to Grove Street.
8. Line Alley closed at 9th Street and at Oak Alley.
9. Grove Street closed at 9th Street and at Oak Alley, at Greenfield Alley, at Holstein Street, at Cherry Alley, at East Rambo Street, at Spruce Alley, and at Union Street.
10. Union Street closed from Ford Street to Grove Street and from Hurst Street to Coates Street.
11. Coates Street closed from Union Street to Fraley Street.
12. East Rambo Street closed from Coates Street to Grove Street.
13. Holstein Street closed from Coates Street to Grove Street.
14. Fraley Street closed from 4th Street to Coates Street and at Lees Alley, at Prospect Avenue, and at Hurst Street.

There will be Borough police and fire police personnel monitoring the road closures and providing detours to route traffic around the 5K racecourse. Please understand that encroaching into the 5K racecourse can and will result in traffic citations being issued and creates a major safety concern. While the official closure times for all of the streets listed above is from 8:45AM to 11:00AM, Borough personnel will do everything possible to re-open streets once the final runner has passed through each portion of the respective racecourse.
