PAWC TO BEGIN RESTORATION OF STREETS ON JUNE 1

On Monday, June 1, 2020, Pennsylvania American Water Company will begin repaving the three streets affected by water main replacements last summer. These are the affected streets:

Rambo Street, from Coates Street to Grove Street
Prospect Street, from Holstein Street to Fraley Street
Hurst Street, from Union Avenue to Fourth Street (Rt. 23)

As Rambo and Prospect Streets are the smaller segments of repair, they will be the first two streets repaired by PAWC. This portion of the restoration will begin on Monday, and should be completed by Thursday, weather permitting.

As Hurst Street is a considerably longer stretch of road, they will start this portion of the restoration after Rambo and Prospect Streets have been completed. PAWC anticipates posting Hurst Street as "no parking" on Tuesday, June 2 and commencing the milling of Hurst shortly thereafter.

If you live on these blocks of Rambo or Prospect, you will notice that the contractors have already posted notification that the streets will be closed beginning on June 1. Residents in these areas will need to have their cars removed from the street between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm until the restoration has been completed.

Please understand that vehicles that do not comply with these temporary parking restrictions will be towed at the owner's expense.

The Borough understands that finding parking in town can be challenging. Therefore, we are making available the following parking lots to affected residents to serve as temporary parking during the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm during the week of June 1:

1. The borough parking lot along York Alley, adjacent to the public works garage.

2. The Memorial Park parking lot at the corner of 9th and Bush Streets.

3. The Memorial Park parking lot at the terminus of Hurst Street (coming up Union Avenue, take a right onto Hurst rather than a left.)

Thank you for your attention in this matter.
