Application Process for 2024 Dr. Vincent Miraglia Scholarship Now Open
For the 30th consecutive year, the Borough of Bridgeport is sponsoring a scholarship known as the Dr. Vincent F. Miraglia Scholarship. The total award this year will be $2,000.00. To local parents: This scholarship notification was sent to UMASD on April 1st, and applications are available to all eligible students through Upper Merion High School. The Borough of Bridgeport is pleased to announce this scholarship to all Bridgeport residents who have lived in the borough for at least 2 years prior to April 1, 2024, and who are seeking further education that will result in degree, diploma, or certificate. The availability of a scholarship is available to all high school graduates seeking a degree or certification beyond high school. Each scholarship application is reviewed anonymously by the Bridgeport Scholarship Committee. The committee will take into consideration the following:
1. Extracurricular Activities
2. Involvement within the Bridgeport Community
3. Scholastic Record
4. Financial Need
5. Character
6. Minimum Two-year Residency Requirement
Completed applications may be returned to Upper Merion High School, or hand delivered or mailed to:

The deadline for all applications is Wednesday May 1, 2024. The scholarship will be awarded at the Borough Council meeting on May 28, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.
