2023 Bridgeport 5K - Saturday September 30, 2023

The 2023 Bridgeport 5K - Saturday, September 30, 2023

This year marks our sixth annual 5K (would be 7 if not for 2020!), and we are going back to where we began in a sense. Our first 5K saw the proceeds generated from the event donated to the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department. Now here we are again in 2023, and Bridgeport Fire Department is again one of our beneficiaries - along with the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard. Two amazing local organizations that provide vital services to the Bridgeport Borough community.

There is still time to register for the 2023 Bridgeport 5K if you are interested - please visit this link to REGISTER.

The race begins and ends at Rotondo Riverfront Park, on Falls View Drive, behind Frosty Falls. Day-of registration begins at 7:30am on Saturday morning, and the race will start at 9am. The race is timed by Bryn Mawr Racing as always. Awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female finishers, as well as the top placements in each of our age brackets.

We have another great lineup of exhibitors and amenities for this year's event, including the following:
*DJ and Master of Ceremonies by John Keane of Farmer's Insurance
*National Anthem sung by Mark Shepperd
*Donuts courtesy of Suzy Jo Donuts
*Snacks, coffee and drinks provided by Bridgeport Borough
*Pumpkin painting and other activities provided by Growing Bridgeport Together
*Pre-Race Stretching offered by Dr. Ray Abdallah and Lauren Brennan of Phoenix Rehabilitation
*Bridgeport Veterinary Hospital
*Bridgeport Business Association
*WSFS Bank
*Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard
*"Pace Car" Bicycle provided by Giant Bicycles - Village Velo of Bridgeport

All participants receive a 2023 Bridgeport 5K race shirt and gift bag featuring some cool gifts from our amazing sponsors!

Kids Fun Run takes place right after the awards ceremony for the 5K! Kids run for free with an adult 5K signup! Each kid gets a cool personalized "kids swag bag" with some cool gifts courtesy of Mr. Steve Wanczyk and the Bridgeport Fire Department!

Bridgeport Borough and the Bridgeport 5K Committee would like to thank and recognize our fantastic community sponsors. We literally couldn't pull this off without their continuous support!

Even if you don't want to run the race, come on down to Rotondo Park Saturday morning, grab some coffee and a donut, and cheer the runners on! Or if you live along the race course, pop your head out the front door and cheer the runners on as they pass by! A link to the course may be viewed HERE.
