Community Service Announcements
As of 4/2/2020 Bridgeport has two confirmed COVID 19 cases.
In preparation for community service announcements, I just wanted you to be aware of this application that Montgomery County is using to Everbridge notification system.This program called ReadyMontco can deliver alerts about severe weather and other important events. One community service announcement should be to encourage the Citizens of the Borough of Bridgeport to sign up.
PennDOT Information
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is implementing the following operational changes in response to Governor Wolf’s mitigation guidance regarding COVID-19. All Driver License Centers and Photo License Centers, as well as the Harrisburg Riverfront Office Center (ROC), remain closed. These closures include all counties in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Additionally, expiration dates for driver licenses, identification cards, learner’s permits, vehicle registrations, safety and emission inspections, and Persons with Disability Placards are further extended:
- Driver licenses, photo ID cards and learner’s permits that have an expiration date scheduled to expire from March 16, 2020 through April 30, 2020, the expiration date is now extended through May 31, 2020.
- Vehicle registrations, safety inspections and emissions inspections scheduled to expire from March 16 through April 30, 2020, the expiration date is now extended through May 31, 2020.
- Persons with Disabilities Parking Placards scheduled to expire from March 16 through April 30, 2020, the expiration date is now extended through May 31, 2020.
