WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BRIDGEPORT, MONITORING RIVER LEVEL

A strange mixture of weather is forecasted for Bridgeport over the next 24-48 hours. Rains are supposed to continue through into Friday morning, and the NOAA website is projecting that the Schuylkill River could creep near "flood levels." The NOAA website can be viewed here.

Please note that minor flooding stage is 13 feet; currently, they are projecting the Schuylkill River to reach 11.7 feet somewhere in the overnight hours of Friday night into Saturday morning.

Additionally, temperatures are expected to drop drastically over the course of Friday, with a low of 8 to 15 degrees forecasted. Strong winds of 10-25mph are going to accompany this drop in temperature. Please travel with care, be mindful of black ice, and monitor weather and media outlets for further updates.
