Public Notice: January 4, 2021 Reorganization Meeting

PUBLIC NOTICE

REORGANIZATION MEETING: JANUARY 4, 2021, 7:30PM

Hello Bridgeport Residents,

As is customary during even-numbered calendar years, Bridgeport and other municipalities throughout PA must conduct a Reorganization Meeting during the first week of the new year. This meeting is held in order to 1) establish the contracts and agreements between the borough and certain professional services, 2) provide an opportunity for Council to vote in a new President and Vice President of Borough Council, and 3) appoint new or incumbent residents to the varying committee seats whose terms expired at the end of 2021.

For 2022's Reorganization Meeting, the following 3 committee seats are up for appointment - 1 seat on the Civil Service Commission, 1 seat on the Zoning Hearing Board, and 1 seat as the Vacancy Board Chair. If there are any Borough residents that wish to apply for consideration for any of these potential openings alongside any interested incumbents, please submit a letter of interest to Keith Truman, at ktruman@bridgeportborough.org, by Monday, January 3 at 5pm. The letter should identify 1) what position you might be interested in, 2) a brief personal bio/background, and 3) why you are interested in this position.
