Employment Opportunity: Full-Time Police Officer

The Borough of Bridgeport will accept applications for a Full Time Police Officer position(s). Applicants must be 21 years of age by the date of the application deadline, possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license, possess a High School diploma, and have successfully completed ACT 120 Training with certification examination to apply. Applicants will be required to pass a background investigation including reference checks and credit history. Applicants must be physically, medically, and psychologically fit to perform the essential functions of the job.

Applications are available beginning July 20th, 2022, at the Bridgeport Police Department, 65 W.4th Street, Bridgeport, PA 19405, between the hours of 9AM and 4PM, Monday through Friday. Completed applications should be returned to the Bridgeport Police Department, including all requested documentation, during normal business hours by no later than Friday, August 19th, 2022, at 4PM.

A non-refundable $50 processing fee is required to each application via check, money order and electronic payment via the Bridgeport Borough web site. Applications will not be accepted without the processing fee. Incomplete applications may be rejected without notice. Applicants must pass an examination which will be given at the Upper Merion Area Middle School, 450 Keebler Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406, at the cafeteria on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, at 8AM, immediately followed by the physical fitness test on the grounds.
