Bridgeport Borough Hall to Reopen July 6, 2020

July 2, 2020

Bridgeport Borough Hall will reopen to the public on Monday, July 6, 2020, on a modified operations schedule, in accordance with state and local COVID-19 protocols. Please read the following guidelines below if you plan on visiting Borough Hall in the near future.

1. Borough Hall will be open from 8:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. We will close Borough Hall early in order to perform sanitization daily.

2. A mask must be worn in order to enter Borough Hall, in accordance with the Governor's directive.

3. Berkheimer offices and tax collector offices will remain closed at this time. Please stay tuned for further updates on their respective reopening. Please understand that their closure does not excuse any late payments of utility or tax bills. Payments to either Berkheimer or the Bridgeport Tax Collector may be deposited in the drop box in front of Borough Hall, 63 West Fourth Street. If you wish to receive a receipt, please indicate this and enclose with your payment.

4. Restrooms will be closed to the public.

5. Bridgeport Borough asks that any business that can be addressed via phone or email should be handled in that manner. Please limit visits to essential business.

Thank you for your attention in this matter. Please believe that we all wish to return to "life as usual" as quickly as possible, and that we believe that reopening on this modified schedule is the first step in that direction. Bridgeport Borough thanks you in advance for adhering to these guidelines, and apologizes for the inconvenience.
